Production Manager

Responsibilities:

• Execute production plans in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), quality, cost, and process standards.

• Develop and implement production manpower planning to ensure the availability of qualified personnel for manufacturing products based on sales demand and forecasts.

• Monitor and control production processes to ensure the manufacturing of high-quality products without compromising HSE standards.

• Assess, manage, and mitigate risks in the production area and related functions to comply with HSE standards.

• Deploy and implement HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) programs in the production area.

• Report and investigate HSEQ incidents/accidents in production.

• Coordinate with relating department to investigate and resolve all Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective Action Requests (CAR), and customer complaints effectively.

• Establish, deploy, train, and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) in the production department, ensuring alignment with company policies and standards.

• Monitor and control the production budget, ensuring production expenses remain within budget and material usage aligns with Bill of Materials (BOM) standards.

• Execute the Manufacturing Operational Excellence program to develop a robust production system and lead quality improvement initiatives based on Six Sigma principles.

• Set up, manage, and lead the production team, ensuring team members are developed, trained, and coached to adapt to business growth.

• Prepare and implement production staff development plans to ensure staff competence in delivering expected performance with high morale.

• Bachelor’s degree in science, Chemical, Technical Management, Industrial Management, or Engineering.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role.

• Strong knowledge of PVC compounds processing or equivalent processes.

• Strong understanding of quality-production management systems.

• Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies and tools, such as 5S, 5W, problem-solving, Pareto analysis, Six Sigma, SPC, OEE, etc.

• Knowledge of HSEQ systems and basic handling of chemicals.

• Proven experience in implementing and managing HSE and quality standards in a production environment.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to develop and motivate staff.

• Proficiency in using production management software and tools.

• Experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
