Product Owner (PO)
Job description
A Product Owner (PO) is a key role in agile project management, particularly within Scrum frameworks. The PO serves as a bridge between stakeholders, development teams, and the market. Here’s a breakdown of their primary responsibilities:
1. Vision and Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision, ensuring alignment with business goals and market needs.
2. Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, which is a list of features, enhancements, and fixes needed for the product.
3. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders (customers, users, and team members) to gather requirements and translate them into actionable user stories.
4. Prioritization: Make tough decisions about which features to develop first based on value to the customer, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
5. Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates and gathering feedback throughout the development process.
6. Acceptance Criteria: Define and communicate acceptance criteria for user stories, ensuring the development team understands the requirements.
7. Review and Feedback: Participate in sprint reviews, providing feedback on completed work and adjusting the backlog based on stakeholder input.
8. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends and competitive products to ensure the product remains relevant and valuable.
Job requirements
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and the development team.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions about product direction.
- Agile Knowledge: Familiarity with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and an understanding of agile principles.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of the market and business context to make strategic decisions.
- Candidates with strong background and past experiences as PO working in industries like e-commerce, SAAS, PAAS, accounting software, mobile apps (transport/banking) or telemetry. possess skillsets in data analytics.
- Open to candidates from VN/SG/AU/CN/ID
