Pricing Manager

1. Job Purpose:

The Pricing Manager role is to develop and implement competitive pricing strategies that optimize profitability while ensuring market competitiveness. This role exists to analyse market trends, manage carrier relationships, and provide accurate and timely freight rate quotations to support sales and operational objectives.

2. Key Accountabilities:

• Pricing Strategy & Budget Monitoring: Monitor freight performance against the annual and monthly budget and targets, ensuring profitability and market competitiveness.

• Product Implementation & Revenue Growth: Manage the implementation of ocean freight products in the country to create new opportunities for revenue growth.

• Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement: Establish and maintain efficient working procedures within the department to enhance productivity and workflow.

• Carrier Relationship Management: Conduct regular meetings and reviews with ocean carriers to address performance and pricing issues, ensuring a competitive and reliable service offering.

• Sales & Business Development Support: Provide competitive pricing solutions to support the business development team, assisting sales personnel with key business opportunities, customer reviews, and meetings.

• Reporting & Performance Analysis: Regularly report to the General Director on ocean freight development, growth, challenges, issues, initiatives, and forecasts.

• Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives.

• Education & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in foreign Trade, Economics, or Maritime studies

• Experience: At least 7 years of experience in ocean freight within an international forwarding company

• Specialist Knowledge & Skills: Deep understanding of the local Ocean freight Market.

• Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Strong communication skills. Leadership capabilities. Proficiency in English.
