A. JOB SUMMARY
To support the organization in maintaining effective labor relations by handling employee concerns, negotiating agreements, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering a positive work environment.
B. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Labor Relations Support:
o Assist in developing and implementing labor relations policies and strategies.
o Support collective bargaining negotiations, including preparing proposals and reviewing labor agreements.
o Maintain positive relationships with unions and employee representatives.
• Conflict Resolution:
o Mediate disputes between management and employees or unions.
o Resolve employee grievances and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
o Provide guidance to management on handling employee issues.
• Legal Compliance:
o Ensure adherence to local, state, and national labor laws and regulations.
o Monitor changes in labor laws and ensure the organization complies with new regulations.
o Assist in preparing and filing reports required by law.
• Communication and Coordination:
o Act as a liaison between employees, union representatives, and management.
o Facilitate communication on labor relations issues.
o Coordinate and participate in labor-management meetings, including documenting proceedings.
• Policy Development:
o Assist in drafting and revising company labor relations policies.
o Educate employees and managers about labor policies and procedures.
• Disciplinary Actions:
o Advise on and support disciplinary processes.
o Ensure that discipline is administered fairly and consistently across the organization.
• Training and Education:
o Organize and conduct training sessions for management and employees on labor relations, employee rights,
and workplace regulations.
o Stay updated on labor relations trends and share relevant information with staff.
• Reporting:
o Prepare and present regular reports on labor relations issues, trends, and resolutions to management.
o Track and analyze employee grievances, union negotiations, and legal matters.
Yêu cầu công việc
• Education:
Bachelor’s degree in law, Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field.
• Experience:
o Experience in labor relations, human resources, or a related area.
o Familiarity with labor laws and regulations, including collective bargaining.
• Skills:
o Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Knowledge of labor laws, contracts, and collective bargaining agreements.
o Ability to manage sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
• Other Attributes:
o Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o High level of integrity and professionalism.
