Job Responsibilities:

• Manages and enforces effective legal compliance programs that’s in line with both global Compliance laws and regulations, by examining and analysing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation, completion of Internal and customers compliance systems. I.e. Collate and risk assess documents for EUDR, UKTR, EUTR, FSC compliance.

• Act as a key resource for the latest sustainability practices, working within the compliance department help identify and implement sustainable methods within the company. Track progress and report on outcomes.

• Ensures compliance with regulations and controls and recommending opportunities to strengthen compliance and controls within production/supply. I.e. Fire and furnishings segregation.

• Follow up CAPs from Social and Ethical BSCI/SMETA Audit reports.

• Review factory Quality Management System standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; and identifying work process improvements that are documented, followed up and reported to management.

• Verifies liabilities by comparing designs, technical documentation to production at the factory.

• Completes audit work papers by documenting audit reports, findings and following up on Technical Audit corrective action plans.

• Update and maintain essential company matrices to monitor and support supplier progress effectively.

Compliance Auditor Qualifications and Skills:

• Understands the path of audit risks and grading factories.

• Understanding of EUTR chain requirements preferred.

• Comfortable using quality assuring software and data analysis.

• Can keep a cool head during stress.

• Strong communication and multitasking skills.

• Organised and follow up proactively to resolve issues.

• A keen eye for detail.

• Can naturally influence for positive commercial improvements.

• Manage difficult conflicts of interest.

• Self motivation to update knowledge by reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organisations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Fluent in English

• Managed production/ audited production under ISO 9001/ QMS systems

• Travel required with occasional trips to Malayasia and China also.
