The Leader, Compliance and Ethics for LIXIL Vietnam is a manager level role, that will provide leadership and compliance expertise in the company’s efforts to strengthen the corporate compliance program and instill a system of policies, guiding principles, training and other activities for a world class compliance culture. In this role, you will support and manage initiatives and projects within ASIA Compliance & Ethics, including compliance training and communications, updates to policies and contractual controls, risk assessment and third party risk management, while also forming part of the Global Compliance & Ethics COE. You will help lead internal investigations and support interactions with state, local and national regulatory authorities, when needed. The role partners and interacts with stakeholders across the organization, including significant interactions with country/regional leaders, Legal and Compliance colleagues and head office personnel.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, localize and implement compliance policies and procedures that ensure the company operates in full accordance with the requirement of all the relevant rules & internal policies and laws & regulations.
• Conduct internal compliance investigations, case management and work with stakeholders to resolve alleged compliance violations in an efficient, ethical and fair manner. Collect, track and analyze data relating to compliance cases in order to development action plan for prioritizing issues, training, tools and resources and advising business leaders.
• Assist in the development, successful rollout and implementation of comprehensive programs for compliance trainings and communications. Act as contact person for the organization’s employees regarding compliance issues and advice.
• Accountable for matters/issues related to compliance Gifts and Entertainment, conflicts-of-interest guidance, business practices related to anti-corruption, fair competition, trade sanctions, data privacy and other risks.
• Implementation of third-party risk management processes. Conduct reviews of, as well as contractual controls around, third parties, including suppliers and sales intermediaries.
• Monitor the performance of the compliance program and related activities on a continuing basis. Conduct compliance risk assessments and audits, develop mitigation strategies for critical risks and employ the results to take appropriate steps to improve effectiveness of programs.
• Develop strategies and techniques to identify and mitigate potential legal, regulatory or compliance risk; monitor and ensure the organization is promptly and effectively advised on upcoming and current policy and regulation related to compliance.
• Provide thought leadership, at all levels of the organization, around compliance excellence and reputation of the organization.
• Build strong business relationships and specially, partner with HR and Internal Audit on an array of compliance related topics.
• Support the enhancement of LIXIL Asia_ Ethics & Compliance program, including leading relevant Compliance Committees, collaborating with key stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Internal Audit, Legal) and other strategic initiatives and special projects.

• An international mindset with previous experience in an MNC, and quick adoption into LIXIL’s technology driven and entrepreneurial culture.
• Minimum of 8 years of legal, regulatory, and rich compliance program and investigation field experience. Relevant experience at another MNC or a law firm will also be considered.
• JD or equivalent law degree, or audit experience preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, organizational skills, results-oriented, attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Maturity, good judgment with strong business sense, and the ability to multi-task and make decisions and exercise discretionary authority necessary to successfully perform job duties.
• Experience from a similar industry with manufacturing plants is preferred, but candidates from high-tech or other fast-moving environments will be welcomed.
• Ability to work effectively with people across all cultures and geographies, including building cross-functional relationships across complex business units.
• Good executive presence, excellent presentation skills; tactful and sensitive to diverse cultural norms and ways of communicating.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent English and Vietnamese.
